Keto Cheeseburger Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup diced bell pepper
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the skillet and cook until the vegetables are softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in the tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the heavy cream.
  6. Spread the beef mixture in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  7. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the beef mixture.
  8. Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
  10. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve.

This dish is best served immediately, and goes well with a green salad or a side of cauliflower rice. This recipe is suitable for keto and low-carb diets. Enjoy!
